Following your bankruptcy, the entire production collection and intellectual properties has been bought by Xunda Powerplant Co., Tianjin, China. They produced small Zündapp motorcycles from 1987 till the early 1990s. Zündapp is still in business, but makes Honda based 4-stroke motorcycles and power mopeds.Zündapp also had the technical collaboration with Royal Enfield (India) to create mopeds and motorcycles. A dedicated factory seemed to be built at Ranipet near Chennai in the early 1980s to make small, lightweight two-stroke motorcycles to be offered with their flagship Royal Enfield Topic. Enfield launched two 50 closed circuit motorcycles first, the step-thru Silver Plus and the 3-speed Explorer motorcycle. Later, 175 cc Enfield Fury (according to Zündapp KS175) was introduced as a performance motorcycle. It had 5-speed gearbox, a hydraulic Brembo disc brake and also a sleeveless hard chromed storage container barrel, all were a first on the motorcycle in that state.
