Nissan name first employed in 1930sIn 1928, Yoshisuke Aikawa founded this holding company Nihon Sangyo (日本産業 The japanese Industries or Nihon Sectors). The name 'Nissan' originated throughout the 1930s as an abbreviation[14] utilized on the Tokyo stock market place for Nihon Sangyo. This company was the famous Nissan "Zaibatsu" including Tobata Casting and Hitachi. At this time Nissan controlled foundries and auto components businesses, but Aikawa did not enter automobile manufacturing till 1933.The zaibatsu eventually grew to incorporate 74 firms, and became the fourth-largest within Japan during World Warfare II.In 1931, DAT Jidosha Seizo became affiliated with Tobata Casting, and was merged in to Tobata Casting in 1933. As Tobata Casting was a Nissan company, this was the beginning of Nissan's automobile making.
