The first Zündapp motorcycle was the model Z22 in 1921. This was the Motorrad für Jedermann ("motorcycle regarding everyone"), a simple, reliable design that was produced in large series. Zündapp's history of weighty motorcycles began in 1933 while using K-series. Following the bankruptcy, the entire production series and intellectual properties has been bought by Xunda Motor Co., Tianjin, China. They produced small Zündapp bikes from 1987 till their early 1990s. Zündapp is still operating, but makes Honda primarily based 4-stroke motorcycles and power mopeds.Zündapp also had any technical collaboration with Royal Enfield (India) to build mopeds and motorcycles. A dedicated factory has been built at Ranipet near Chennai inside early 1980s to manufacture small, lightweight two-stroke motorcycles to be offered along with their flagship Royal Enfield Bullet. Enfield launched two 50 closed circuit motorcycles first, the step-thru Silver Plus and also the 3-speed Explorer motorcycle. Later, 175 cc Enfield Fury (according to Zündapp KS175) was introduced like a performance motorcycle.
